Bears Uniform History
Seeking a to extend their modest two-game win streak, the Chicago Bears travel south to the bayou to face a high-flying New Orleans Saints (4-2) team.

The Bears (3-4), coming off two strong defensive efforts in wins against Baltimore and Carolina, step up in class to face the Drew Brees led Saints squad that paces the NFC South and appears rejuvenated after a trio of disappointing seasons.

Brees history against the Bears is impressive. He’s passed for 933 yards and 8 touchdowns in the clubs’ previous three meetings, all New Orleans victories. This year, a balanced attack that features Michael Thomas and Brandon Coleman on the outside is supplemented by the running of veteran Mark Ingram and rookie Alvin Kumara. INGRAM has 219 rush yards (109.5 per game) & 3 TDs in past 2. Has 539 scrimmage yards (107.8 per game) & 6 TDs (5 rush, 1 rec.) in past 5 at home. Had rush TD in last meeting. Rookie RB ALVIN KAMARA had 107 scrimmage yards in Week 7, his 1st career 100+ scrimmage yard game. Kumara ranks third among NFL rookies with 28 catches.

CB Kyle Fuller is quietly putting together the kind of year the Bears hoped he would following two lackluster campaigns. While they ca

n’t be expected to score every week, if the Bears can pick Brees or create enough pressure to throw him out of rhythm, things could become interesting.

Offensively, the expectation is that Chicago will have to display more firepower in order to hang with New Orleans. Rookie QB Mitch Trubisky has struggled the last two weeks against attack units geared to stop the run and force Bears receivers to win against press coverage. The addition of Dontrelle Inman will help, but probably not right away.

If Chicago can steal a win Sunday, it would provide a huge boost heading into the team’s bye week.
