With the cleanup from last week’s damaging storms throughout Illinois ongoing, the Chicago Bears are trying to do their part in assisting the communities and residents of the towns affected the most from the devastation.
The Bears official team release below outlines a way fans can help through a unique auction.
The Chicago Bears and Bears Care are partnering with the American Red Cross, Greater Chicago Region, to assist with those throughout the state who suffered devastating losses during the storms on Sunday, November 17.
Bears Care is conducting an online auction of game-worn and game-used equipment from the Chicago Bears overtime win against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and accepting donations online at www.chicagobears.com/tornadorelief.
Auction Items Include:
• A luxury Suite for sixteen (16) people at the Bears vs. Rams game in St. Louis on November 24 (Auction ends on November 22 at 4:00 pm CT for this item.)
• Game worn jerseys from DEDavid Bass, WR Alshon Jeffery and DE Julius Peppers.
• Game worn pants from DEDavid Bass, RB Matt Forte, G Kyle Long, WR Brandon Marshall, TJordan Mills, QB Josh McCown and DE Julius Peppers.
• A game used football autographed by Head CoachMarc Trestman along with a game used coin
More items are expected to be added to the auction, as well. The auction ends on Sunday, November 24 at 11:59 pm CT, but bids are currently being accepted.
