Webb’s arrest problematic for Bears

Chicago Bears offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb caught a break Wednesday afternoon when downstate Illinois authorities decided not to pursue drug charges against him. 

Webb was pulled over for speeding Sunday night, and police allegedly found less than 2.5 grams of marijuana in his car. According to the Pulaski County (IL) sheriff’s office, he  initially was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, Pilgram said. Webb posted $500 bond and was released Monday.


A day at the scouting combine

The alarm went off too early, especially for Sunday morning. My deep slumber was interrupted at 4:30AM with the sound of some obscure public affairs program telling me it was time to get up. Bears complete coaching staff with hire of Groh

New Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman put the finishing touches on his initial coaching staff with the addition of Mike Groh as the receivers coach.

The 41-year old Groh had served as Alabama’s receivers coach and recruiting coordinator. Prior to that, he coached at Virginia and Louisville. He is the son of former NFL and college coach Al Groh. READ MORE
