Bears Tab Emery As New GM

The Bears have their man after a lengthy, unorthodox search. The official team release is below. He’ll be introduced to the media on Monday at Halas Hall. Further information and analysis over the next day or so can be found  at bearsclaws.com

The Chicago Bears have reached an agreement with Phil Emerytoday to become the team’s fifth general manager in franchise history.

Emery joins the Bears after spending 14 seasons in the NFL including the last three as the Kansas City Chiefs Director of College Scouting. The Chiefs won the AFC West in 2010.
